Kilian Radtke / Don Grizz

Relocating from his native Germany in the early 2000s Kilian Radtke has been at the forefront of London’s music scene working as a DJ and promoter for event series with acts from labels such as Ninja Tune, Big Dada and Wichita Recordings.

As a well respected DJ known for his versatile and eclectic sets, Kilian has been intricately involved in London’s audiophile hifi community- starting as a resident DJ at Spiritland Kings Cross in 2019. This served as an introduction to the art of listening and a deeper understanding and appreciation for the quality of sound focused venues.

Further sets at first generation listening destinations Spiritland Royal Festival Hall, Brilliant Corners, Behind This Wall followed with numerous appearances at spots such as BBE Store, Jumbi, Moko, Jazu, Bambi, Hausu, Madcats.

During regular international DJ visits and exchanges with the crews at Curtis in Barcelona, RIAA in Hamburg, and H/earth in Amsterdam, Kilian came up with the idea to document the ongoing evolution of the global audiophile hi-fi listening community and culture—drawing inspiration from Japan’s Jazz Kissas, David Mancuso’s Loft parties, and sound system culture at large.

Always passionate about sharing music Kilian has been an active radio presenter on stations such as Charlie Dark MBEs Run Dem Radio, Islington Radio, Music Box Radio, Voices Radio with additional airings on Radio Salto Amsterdam.

Listen to Kilian’s mixes below at Brilliant Corners and Spiritland in London.
