The publishing process can vary depending on the plan you’ve chosen. But on average it can take 2 - 3 months, from start to finish.

While we don't offer print-on-demand or self-publishing services, we do offer professional publishing services that include guidance and expertise to help you create a high-quality book. When you work with Soi Books, our team of experienced designers will handle the design and layout of your book, while we advise on editorial decisions, marketing strategies, and sales. Our focus is on providing value through our publishing expertise, rather than simply printing and paper.

If you are an artist looking to showcase your work in a book, please note that we do not offer traditional publishing deals. Instead, we offer book servicing, where we provide professional publishing services such as design, layout, editing, and marketing guidance to help you create a high-quality book. However, we do accept and review original book concepts pitched to us via our commission form, and may offer publishing deals for those projects.

Soi Books offers a royalty rate of 25%, which we believe is on the more generous side compared to other publishers. As former authors ourselves who have worked with major publishers, we know that royalty rates for art books can vary widely between 5% to 12%. With our focus on supporting artists and creators, we believe that offering a higher royalty rate is an important way to help ensure that our authors receive fair compensation for their work.

You retain full copyright and ownership of your content. We simply license the right to publish and distribute your work.

Yes, you get 3 author copies of the book and we offer author discounts on print copies of your book so you can order copies for personal use or to sell at events.

Absolutely, we encourage authors to sell themselves by promoting to their audiences, through social media, galleries, and word of mouth. You can also buy stock from us at discounted rates and sell the books yourself, although if we negotiate a distribution deal for your book you will need to keep to the RRP. Some artists have even bought 300 copies from us.

Twice yearly by PayPal or by bank transfer to your bank account.

Currently, we do not have a system in place for authors to track their book sales. However, we are in the process of building a dashboard where authors will be able to log in and view their sales data. We hope to have this feature available in the near future, and we will be sure to notify all of our authors once it is live.
